Meet Crystal

I’m the owner of It’s Your Turn HR, which provides human resources consulting services.

Trading Post and Steel & Oak have partnered with me to provide you with an independent HR resource. If you ever have questions about work, want to talk through a situation, or need help navigating something, I'm here.

I’ve been in human resources for almost 20 years, and for the last 8 years have specialized in supporting small restaurant groups, so I’m familiar with the unique challenges in the food and beverage industry - and I love helping people.

How I Can Help

Most of the time, your Manager is the best point of contact for your concerns because they can make direct and quick changes to your workplace. But, sometimes you need an external HR resource to talk things through with.

You might reach out if:

  • You want advice on how to handle a workplace situation

  • Something at work doesn’t feel right

  • You want to talk through a concern before raising it internally

  • You need coaching for how to bring up a difficult conversation

Conversations with me are treated with trust, care, and discretion. My goal is for us to think through situations and determine the best path forward together.

In most cases, discussions stay between us - unless there is a serious harassment, discrimination, or safety concern. If that situation ever arises, we will always talk through a plan together first about next steps before bringing it forward.

It may be difficult for me to help you with something if we don’t involve someone internally, but that decision is yours to make (unless it’s a serious safety issue).

If you're unsure whether something can remain confidential, you're welcome to reach out first and ask about confidentiality before sharing any details.
